ere are some of my old photographs (I was between 12 and 14 years old when I took them.) They are relatively highly compressed, but I think that the image quality held up fairly well. I'll add some more if I get a chance to print again. Maybe I'll add some of my digital images later on. Click on the small image on the left to see a full sized picture.  To see some of my newer, and if I may say so, better photographs, please go to my gallery site, Digital Daydream.

[Chiaroscuro] Chiaroscuro 18K -- This picture was taken in Bavaria, Germany in 1990. I took a tour of an old Bavarian farm settlement. Most of the rooms were very simply laid out, almost minimalistic. There was nothing there that wasn't useful in some way. However, there didn't seem to be anything missing, and each room seemed to be surrounded by a sort of quiet calmness. This was my favorite or the rooms. I was attracted by the distinct light and shadow and the general eeriness of the room.
[Be Of Good Heart] Be Of Good Heart 21K -- This picture was taken in Washington DC, in 1987. It is of one of the towers of The Shrine Of the Immaculate Conception. This is the only Cathedral in the United States that I have taken a liking to. I used a polarizer to darken the sky. No color altering filters were used.
[The Price Of Freedom] The Price Of Freedom 37K -- This picture was also taken in Washington DC, in 1987. It is a picture of the Vietnam Memorial wall. I'm somewhat ashamed of this picture. It plays off of the mindless nationalism and patriotism that I despise. I took this picture for the sole purpose of entering it in a contest. While it did win a prize, I still feel a bit dirty about it. I guess I don't feel too badly about it...after all, I am showing it here. You decide.
[German Stables] German Stables 47K -- This picture was taken in Hessen, Germany in 1990. I was at a restaurant one evening and saw a stable nearby. I liked the appearance of the old bricks, ivy, and the thick frosted windows. Each window is open slightly differently from the rest with the horse looking out from behind the left window.
[Portugese Festival In Germany] Portuguese Festival In Germany 49K -- This picture was taken in Mainz, Germany in 1990 during a religious festival of some sort. I'm not really sure why I took this picture. I normally don't photograph people, and even less frequently posed photographs. I usually stick to architecture. This picture, however, did interest me. Maybe it was the wonderfully saturated reds... who knows.
